MFE was founded in 2004 by food expert Allan Campion.
Allan Campion is a food expert using technology to connect globally.
Allan Campion’s life-long passion for food began when he first stepped into a restaurant kitchen as a trainee chef in 1979. He knew instantly he had found his job for life.
Since then in a four decade long career he has worked as a chef in Australia and Europe, as a food writer, a restaurant reviewer and consultant, through to operating a food store and appearing on TV.
He is the co-author of 40 cookbooks including In The Kitchen and The Foodies’ Guide, The Seasonal Produce Diary, Food with Friends and Chilli Jam. as well as books on barbecuing and cooking with the seasons.
In 2004 Allan founded MFE to work with the top Melbourne chefs, restaurants and venues to offer the very best tours and corporate events.
His work has expanded in a multitude of ways since then and now includes food and travel copywriting, hospitality consulting, mentoring, cooking classes and speaking engagements using technology to connect globally.
Allan also hosts a YouTube channel and writes a popular newsletter where he shares what he knows and loves about food, wine, cooking, restaurants and travel.
